After pretty underwhelming first half of the first round Brock Lesnar finally had Mark Hunt on the ground but Hunt was quickly back up on his feet and threw couple of blows to Lesnar. He again had him on the canvas and this time threw wild punches which became the feature of the fight.
Lesnar had his tactics spot on as he kept looking for take downs while Mark Hunt was clearly at disadvantage against a bigger man.
Even as the Ultimate Fighting Championship prepares for its return on May 9, doubt remains involving how well it will perform with fans yearning for normalcy. UFC 110: Nogueira vs. Velasquez was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on Sunday, 21 February 2010 in Sydney, Australia, at Acer Arena. The event marked the UFC's first trip to Australia.
Brock Lesnar impressed on the night against one of the hardest punchers in MMA but size advantage helped in great deal. When asked about his future in the sport he was more realistic but left the window open for a return.
Mark Hunt on the other hand conceded that the early blows took the sting out of him and he never really went beyond first gear. But he is already looking forward to a return by the end of the year.
